Queenstown is a stunning resort town that bills itself as the, "Adventure Capital of the World."

There is something in Queenstown to please even the most dedicated thrill-seeker from jet-boating, to white-water rafting, bungy jumping to skydiving you can do it all in Queenstown.  Equally there is so many things to match for those not inclined to hurling themselves off or out of perfectly good structures such as world class wineries in Gibbston Valley, international standard golf courses and a whole variety of dining and drinking experiences from cafes to fine dining and rowdy good old fashioned pubs.

Queenstown sits in an epic location on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and has stunning views of The Remarkables Mountain Range. Two of New Zealand's premium ski fields (The Remarkables and Coronet Peak) are less than 20 minutes drive from downtown and historic Arrowtown is only an easy 25km ride or drive away.

Queenstown has always been a hub for mountain biking with such classic mountain bike rides as the awesome journey from Arrowtown to the deserted gold mining settlement of Macetown following in the footsteps of those hardy folk about the Arrow River and the more challenging ride over the Moonlight Trail and around the small lakes of Moke Lake and Lake Dispute effectively circumnavigating the tallest mountain close to the town - Ben Lomond.

The development of two Great Rides, the Around the Mountain Trail and The Queenstown Trail and the close proximity of the Otago Central Rail Trail have made Queenstown the number one destination on most people's wish list for this year.
