This track runs off Ruamahanga lower a few hundred metres from the gate on Western Lake Road. The track leads north with views of Pounui Lagoon, and exits on to Western Lake Road beside a one-lane bridge. The route below shows the return via Western Lake Road to the gates beside the Ruamahanga stopbank track by Lake Onoke.
The track is wide and suitable for 4WD vehicles, and few muddy spots. There is one gate to go through.
