Kaurangahake Gorge Historic Track

Old mine machinery and buildings can be seen from a number of locations along the way. This is a easy and safe track, suitable for all groups and fitness levels. The 1km tunnel is lit but bike lights are usefull. At Owharoa there is an old rock quarry established in 1914. A short side track close to the quarry leads through bush to an attractive waterfall
