Uncle Bill’s Cottage is a gorgeous country house on a sheep and beef farm – set in perfect privacy overlooking a beautiful trout-filled river; it’s a world away from the city and neighbours. You could be sitting here on the deck after a hard day’s ride, relaxing with a cold drink… Situated on Ruatiti Rd in the Orautoha Valley, we are a short 35 minute bike ride from the start of the stunning Mangapurua Track (Bridge to Nowhere) section of the Mountain to Sea Cycleway. We can arrange jet boat transport from the Mangapurua Landing to Pipiriki and shuttle bus from Pipiriki back to the cottage; or you can simply bike in and back out again – it’s your choice! Uncle Bill’s Cottage is the perfect base for enjoying the Bridge to Nowhere Track and the many other cycling trails in the Ruapehu. From the time you step in the door of our fully set up cottage you can relax. With quality bed linen and towels provided, and no house cleaning to do at the end of your visit, all you have to do is enjoy yourself!
