Queenstown Bike Park

Destination

In January 2011 New Zealand mountain biking history was made when Skyline Queenstown opened the southern hemispheres only gondola assisted bike lift. Initially access was given to bike enthusiasts for a 4 month trial season, proving a success with thousands of mountain bikers taking advantage of the uplift to million dollar views and a myriad of biking trails.

In amongst the pine trees of the Ben Lomond Reserve, the newly named ‘Queenstown Bike Park’ boasts world class biking trails with varying terrain for all abilities. The gondola provides easy access to a 450m vertical descent and with over 30km of tracks its fuelling bikers’ demand for dirt.

Spend the day at the Skyline complex and combine some epic biking trails, with world class food, with the rush of the Skyline luge all complimented by stunning Queentown views.
