Hawea River Track
Classic Mountain Bike Ride
Lake Wanaka, South Island
Suitable for all ages and experience the stunning riverside track is over easy country and links Lake Hawea township to Albert Town.
The track is well maintained with a few uneven patches as it travels through kanuka groves, woodland and along river terraces.
To access the track take the first right after the Albert Town Bridge, over the swing bridge and follow the Hawea River from Albert town to Lake Hawea. Also provides access to other trails around the Hawea Region. For a longer ride link up with the Outlet Track, via the Albert Town Bridge, to take you back in to downtown Lake Wanaka.
