Te Aroha is a quaint, rural town which sits in the shadow of the 952 metre Mount Te Aroha in the Thames Valley.
Cyclists who have arrived in Te Aroha after biking the Hauraki Rail Trail will be well impressed with the natural thermal and mineral spas near the town's centre. Te Aroha is home to the world's only hot soda water geyser - Mokena.
Te Aroha is well situated for mountain biking on the North Island and only a quick two hour drive away from Auckland. In addition to the Hauraki Rail Trail which is connected to Te Aroha, the Kaimai Ranges are only a short drive away and offer excellent mountain biking and tramping opportunities.
