New Zealand: One of the World's Top 10 Places to Cycle
Cycle Trail News
We know New Zealand is a pretty epic place to cycle. We've got some of the world's best mountain biking trails in places like Rotorua on the North Island or Queenstown on the South Island. We have quiet country roads which cross the majestic Southern Alps or ones that skirt one of our coasts. And, we have a planned series of Great Rides that will take in some of New Zealand's most iconic and diverse landscapes. So yeah, we think New Zealand is one of the world's top cycling destinations.
We're always glad when someone else agrees with us.
Cheap Flights.co.uk recently listed Wellington, New Zealand, as one of the Top 10 Places to cycle around the World.
Wellington, New Zealand
"New Zealand unsurprisingly makes the list for adventurous cyclist. Its unbeatable scenery, welcoming energy and wide variety of terrain make for ideal backdrops and exciting rides. In Wellington, ride up to the Makara Peak, which is the most popular mountain bike track in the country, thanks to local track-building efforts. An average of 100,000 bikers a year flock to the top for breath-taking views of the South Island - not to mention the gratifying ride through both forestry and coastline."
