NZbyBike Pedaling Update - Get the Most Out of Your Listing
Hi Everyone - We hope this finds you well as we head quickly into winter here in the Southern Lakes. Matt is just back from his trip up to the Nelson and Golden Bay Region. While his original plan was to head to the North Island after visiting Nelson, he found there was so much interest in the area with the Heaphy Track having just opened to mountain bikers that he would delay the trip up North for another time. Matt was absolutely blown away by the riding in the Nelson and Golden Bay Regions!
We're convinced that with the quality of trails, the year-round mild temperatures and the overall interest in the region for cycling, that it's well placed as one of New Zealand's best cycling destinations. To everyone that met with Matt, took him on a ride or shared a coffee with him - we send a big 'thanks' your way. Respect Trampers on the Heaphy Track! The whole of the NZbyBike Team will be making another trip north before the end of the winter to ride the Heaphy Track. If you have mountain bikers who are riding the Heaphy Track staying with you, we ask that you encourage them to follow the "Mountain Bikers Code" by respecting trampers on the trail. With 7,000 bikes on the trail in its last year open to mountain bikers, the potential it has for bringing year-round tourism to Golden Bay and the West Coast is huge - so let's make sure DOC is happy after the three year trial. Say Hello at TRENZ... For the first time ever, TRENZ will be held in our own beautiful backyard.
