First Ever Pedaling Update

Hi All,

To those of you already on the website and to those of you still to get on board with NZbyBike.com Welcome to our First Ever Pedaling Update.

It has been a massive 6 months for us here at the Queenstown Innovation Centre working with the guys at Xebidy Social Web Design to design and develop the new website. Our dream was to develop New Zealand’s premium one stop shop for planning a cycle trip to New Zealand. We think we have certainly created the framework for this and now just need to get on our bikes and research and write more content.

We have had the NZbyBike.com website live for just over a week now and the response has been fabulous. Traffic has increased 45% from our original Cycleway Project website and we should reach 3,000 visitors this first month.

We have also had 20 businesses sign up for the paid listings in the first week and even better have already generated 7 enquiries from genuine customers directly to these businesses through our contact forms. After all that is what counts - generating bookings directly for our partners.

We have got a big September planned including:

• One of the Team, Dan Roberts, talking at the eTourism Conference next week;
• Sponsorship of the NZ Backpacking Conference in Rotorua next week (you can catch Dan there also if you would like to);
• Kicking-off of our national PR campaign in mid-September;
• Release of the new mapping functionality on the website;
• A couple of races that some of the guys have entered;
• And a three day ride from Tekapo to Ohau via Mount Cook that we are organising early October with starring guest rider Scott Kennedy, author of Lonely Planet Cycling in New Zealand Guide (details will be on the website soon).

We are also taking possession of our very own branded NZbyBike Spaceship which we are very proud of - we will get photos out as soon as we get it.
